Power of Partnerships

RCI believes in the power of partnerships. No single organization can work successfully in isolation to effect lasting change. Participating in teams and partnerships has been the cornerstone of RCI’s most successful development initiatives. These partnerships include:

  • Individual agricultural producers

  • Agricultural producer organizations

  • Communities and cooperatives

  • Private businesses

  • Technology experts

  • Conservation groups

  • Federal and state agencies

  • Lenders and equity investors

  • Foundations

  • Public and private sector leaders

Building Community Capacity

RCI’s success has always flowed from the people who work for and with our organization. RCI encourages team projects where long-term commitment to sustainable development makes a measurable difference over time. We believe the people part of our projects creates the greatest long-term impacts by building capacity for self-sufficiency within communities.

A spirit of cooperation is the foundation upon which community capacity building must occur. We know from experience that productive partnerships based on mutual benefit and trust are essential for success. RCI facilitates just such a spirit of cooperation.

Understanding Sustainability

RCI strives to involve all appropriate segments of a community in developing a greater understanding of sustainability.  RCI works at the community level to develop:

  • Strategic vision for change

  • Entrepreneurial spirit

  • Adoption of appropriate technology

  • Sustainable development model

  • Long-term viability of a region
